Where family recipes meet warm hospitality. A taste of Persian home, in the heart of Bradford.
Azizam was born from a simple wish: to share the warmth of a Persian family table with Bradford. Our recipes have been passed down through three generations, each dish carrying stories from the kitchens of Tehran and Isfahan.
When you dine with us, you are not a customer. You are a guest, welcomed the way our grandmothers welcomed theirs -- with generous plates, fragrant saffron, and the word that became our name: Azizam, my dear.
Every dish on our menu traces back to a family kitchen in Iran. Our koobideh is mixed by hand using a recipe that has never been written down, only passed from mother to daughter.
Persian cuisine is its own world: saffron, barberries, dried lime, pomegranate. We honour the distinctiveness of Iranian cooking rather than blending into a generic category.
In Persian culture, the guest is a gift from God. Every detail at Azizam, from the greeting at the door to the tea at the end, is designed to make you feel genuinely welcome.
"We stumbled upon Azizam on a Friday night and left feeling like we'd been to a family dinner. The tahdig alone is worth a trip across Bradford. My wife hasn't stopped talking about the ghormeh sabzi."
"Finally, proper Persian food in West Yorkshire. I grew up eating my mum's zereshk polo and this brought me right back to her kitchen. The saffron is real, the portions are generous, and the welcome is genuine."
"Took the team here for a birthday meal. The staff walked us through the menu, recommended dishes to share, and brought out a surprise dessert. It felt personal in a way restaurants rarely do these days."
Join us for an evening of saffron, stories, and the kind of warmth that only comes from being treated like family.
